Here's Bob with the painting his friend, Marisa Vela, one if the participating artists in this year's Open Studios, made of him. It's entitled "Lit". We got to check out a lot of the other artists in the area, including Liz Hickok the incredible Jell-O artist, and Blair Bradshaw, whose work reminds me a lot of Jasper Johns. It was a good time. We saw some great work. I pretty much shared Bob's sentiment afterwards when he said "Seeing all this art really gets me motivated to start working on my own art, but it also makes me really depressed because I see some cool piece and think 'Who the fuck am I kidding? I could never do anything like that!'"
