Notre Dame 2

Though I had been disappointed that I wouldn't get to see any shows while I was in Paris (Portishead played 2 sold out nights in the city while I was there!), hearing the bells of Notre Dame go off while I admired the views from the top of the South tower was a musical experience I'll never forget.

Heavy Metal Tower

Climbed the tower of Notre Dame yesterday, and was at the top when the bells went off at 5:30PM. There's no way I could've timed it, since the line was so long and very slow. It doesn't get any better than that. The bells rang for quite some time, and I stayed at the top till they stopped. Now that's heavy metal!

Also climbed the Arc de Triomphe at dusk the night before. It was a beautiful night and the sky was a dark blue. Hopefully the pictures come out well.

Earlier that day I visited the Gustave Moreau museum, which was amazing. Didn't even know he had his own museum here, and he's one of my favorite artists, so it was a nice treat to see it.
